Terms and conditions of Home Boarding

  • Definition of “Home Boarding”: whereby a pet is left in our care at our house at any time.
  • No dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 will be accepted for home boarding.
  • Dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976 (e.g.: Wolf Hybrids) will not be accepted for home boarding.
  • Puppies under 6 months of age are not accepted for home boarding.
  • Entire Males and Bitches in season / due in season during the home boarding cannot be accepted.
  • All home boarders must attend a trial familiarisation session prior to boarding.
  • Clients must provide dogs with their own food to prevent stomach upset or break in routine.
  • Clients must provide bedding, bowls, toys / comforter and grooming materials.
  • Clients must provide a detailed feeding plan including meal times, treats, food allergies etc.
  • Clients must provide proof that dogs for boarding have current vaccinations against Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Canine Parvovirus and other infectious diseases. The course of vaccinations must have been completed at least four weeks before arrival or in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Clients must provide their pet’s unique microchip number and advise “Petlog” that their dog in the care of W.D.W.S for the duration. (Petlog telephone number is 0844 4633999)
  • Proof of preventative treatment of parasites must be provided prior to arrival. (Worms/fleas)
  • A disclaimer and authorisation to administer record must be signed before any pet can be given regular medication.
  • Cats cannot be accepted for home boarding at any time.
  • Only dogs from the same household may be boarded at any one time.
  • Dogs cannot and will not be let off a lead during exercise.
  • Dogs will wear a W.D.W.S identity tag at all times during boarding.
  • Emergency veterinary treatment will be provided by Andale Veterinary Surgery or partners of this practice who are the appointed and authorised veterinary surgeon to W.D.W.S.
  • Clients submitting their pets for boarding do so as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Terms and conditions of Home Sitting.

  • Definition of “Home Sitting”: whereby a pet is left within its own home with scheduled care visits and an agreed exercise programme.
  • All dogs must attend a trial familiarisation and walks prior to sitting.
  • Clients must provide pets with their own food so as to prevent stomach upset and break in routine.
  • Clients must supply all bedding, bowls, toys and grooming materials.
  • Clients must provide a detailed feeding plan including meal times, treats, food allergies etc.
  • Clients must provide their pet’s unique microchip number and advise “Petlog” that their dog in the care of W.D.W.S for the duration. (Petlog telephone number is 0844 4633999)
  • A disclaimer and authorisation to administer record must be signed before any pet can be given regular medication.
  • Dogs cannot and will not be let off a lead during exercise.
  • Dogs will not at anytime be left in an unoccupied garden unattended at the clients premises.
  • Dogs will wear a W.D.W.S identity tags at all times during walks.
  • The telephone number of W.D.W.S must be provided to immediate neighbours in case of excessive barking or signs of distress.
  • Emergency veterinary treatment will be provided by Andale Veterinary Surgery or partners of this practice who are the appointed and authorised veterinary surgeon to W.D.W.S.
  • A key receipt will be provided and must be signed by both parties and records kept.
  • Clients submitting their pets for boarding do so as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
